Are you ready for Halley?

Why would you only explore the world, if you could explore the whole universe? Every step forward will expand the horizons for everyone following in your path. Halley is an invitation to embark on a journey. For children to shape their own future.

In Halley, we believe that education is an accompanied and dynamic journey. Leaving behind academic language teaching methods, we want to transmit the same interest and curiosity as the one a child feels when they first go downstairs and enter the garage of their house: the uncertainty of not knowing what they could find, but the conviction that there will be plenty of tools to play with, and endless stories to live.

From the warmth of home and even during pregnancy, they will naturally learn English through creative processes, which are completed by the richness and values of Music. Music as a nexus between parents and children, and a common element in every culture that let us express ourselves and meet other social realities.

The starting point is the excitement of that child who finds a big trunk in the garage that will be their experimental lab. When they open that trunk they’ll find a record player and a pile of vinyl records, each one from a representative artist in Music History, such as David Bowie, The Beatles or Bob Dylan. Depending on the year, those artists and their stories will walk with the students and guide them along the terms.

The first vinyl record they find is from John Lennon. Each afternoon they will go downstairs to listen to some of his songs and learn about his music, his context, his culture, but especially his LANGUAGE. English and music as universal languages.

This journey will last until the final vinyl record is played, but the path doesn’t finish here. Now is the time of going on tour and not losing any opportunity, because they’ll be ready enough to take up the challenge and enjoy it. All in all, even though the lights of the garage may be turned off by a simple switch, the show must go on.
